Calgary Latin American Film Festival (CLAFF) — 2027 Edition
April 22–25, 2027
CLAFF is now accepting submissions for its 2027 edition. We invite filmmakers, producers, directors, and creators from Latin America and its diaspora — as well as filmmakers from anywhere whose work engages meaningfully with Latin American stories, culture, and communities — to submit their films for consideration.
Categories
- Feature Film (60+ minutes) — Narrative or documentary features of any genre, from or about Latin America.
- Short Film (under 40 minutes) — Narrative, documentary, or experimental shorts of any genre engaging with Latin American themes.
- Documentary (any length) — Documentary films that engage substantively with Latin American culture, history, politics, or communities, including the diaspora.
Deadlines
- Early Bird: August 31, 2026
- Regular: September 30, 2026
- Final: October 31, 2026
- Notification Date: January 15, 2027
Eligibility
- Films must have been completed on or after January 1, 2025.
- Films must not have been previously screened in Canada.
- English subtitles are required for any film not originally in English.
- Submitters must hold or secure all necessary exhibition rights.
